A Patsy Cline Hologram Is Coming to Terrify You

A Patsy Cline return is on the horizon: the late country icon will perform as a hologram.

In 2016, according to Billboard, the Cline hologram will debut as part of a new concert series boasting “performance, commentary and audience interaction.” *shivers*

Back in 2012, Coachella audiences met hologram Tupac Shakur (whether they liked it or not), which scared everyone who was already tripping on molly, ayahuasca, and whatever else one does in the desert. Holo-Tupac was later followed by shadowy representations of Liberace and Buddy Holly.

“We debuted our hologram technology to the Country music world with Jimmy Kimmel at the Country Music Awards. Now Patsy Cline will demonstrate how we can bring all the warmth and virtuosity of a true icon back for new audiences,” said Alki David, CEO of Hologram USA, in a statement. “We chose Patsy as our first Country hologram project, and our first female hologram project, for a reason: she was a pioneer who influenced generations of singers around the globe.”

Cline’s hologram will sing cuts like “Walking After Midnight,” “I Fall to Pieces” and “Crazy.” The IRL Cline died in 1963 in a plane crash.
