Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson Had a Zoolander Walk-Off at Valentino

Because fashion really has become just as ridiculous as its parodic movie depictions, the Valentino show at Paris Fashion Week just closed with Zoolander‘s Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson—in character as rival male models Derek Zoolander and the mononymous Hansel, respectively—having a walk-off. Don’t you know I’m loco?!

The good news is: this was not Maison Valentino being cheeky or dissolving the oft-illusory line between fiction and life, but an actual cross-promo announcement that Wilson and Stiller are presently filming Zoolander 2 in Rome, according to the New York Times‘ Vanessa Friedman. Because Zoolander is one of the greatest fashion films ever made, and because apparently the industry can laugh at itself. Carry on.
