Here's the title track off Best Coast's upcoming album California Nights, which is their first full-length since 2012's The Only Place and also their major-label debut.

Like the video that accompanies it, "California Nights" radiates with a distinct, gauzily expansive, gorgeously saturated grunge: it seems like the L.A. duo is drawing on some new session muscle—the mix on this track is low, rhythm-driven and satisfyingly heavy, and Bethany Cosentino brings her prickly, honeyed girl-group vibes to a melody that's large enough to be in U2 territory. Best Coast will be touring this summer, and I bet this whole album's gonna sound great washing into the night air outside.
