Joni Mitchell, 71, is the latest icon of a certain age to front a major fashion campaign. Shot by Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane at Mitchell's home in Bel Air, California, the images are part of the Saint Laurent Music Project, which has previously featured artists like Courtney Love and Kim Gordon (although if you click on the link now, you'll get a video of a topless Charlotte Gainsbourg lookalike swanning around on the beach as Curtis Harding plays guitar with his eyes closed).

YSL tweeted the following images on Thursday to announce the campaign, showing our girl Joni looking fly as hell in a fedora and tunic from their "Folk" collection:
