L7 Just Played Their First Show in 18 Years
EntertainmentThis is excellent: L7’s original lineup reunited for the first time in 18 years, playing a sold-out show at the Echo in L.A. According to Pitchfork, the set started out with a couple songs from Hungry for Stink (“Andres”) and Smell the Magic (“Deathwish”) before ripping through most of Bricks Are Heavy. Music blog Grimy Goods reports that vocalist and guitarist Donita Sparks and bassist Jennifer Finch head-banged through the whole night with huge smiles on their faces. Fuck yes. This is fantastic. The band has a slate of shows scheduled in the U.S. and Europe. Welcome back, L7. Never leave us again.Contact the author at [email protected].
