Listen to Justin Bieber's New Single About an 'Indecisive' Girl

After weeks of teasing his new song “What Do You Mean” on Instagram with a countdown that included numerous famous friends (like MARTHA), Justin Bieber dropped the lyric video for the track in the wee hours of Friday morning. An homage to an apparently fickle girl, lyrics include “What do you mean?/When you nod your head yes/But you want to say no/What do you mean?/When you don’t want me to move/But you tell me to go.”

The “video” is forgettable, featuring footage of Bieber and skateboarding friends Ryan Sheckler and Chelsea Castro roaming around LA (hmm, he seems to like to do that) but the song is the smooth kind of high-register work we’ve come to expect from Bieber as of late, building on the sound of Journals and his other collaborations with Skrillex and Diplo aka Jack Ü. Bieber’s new album reportedly comes out in November; I’ll take a cue from this ode to straightforwardness and say that I’m real excited.
