Listen to 'No Harm Is Done,' a New Track from Christine and the Queens and Tunji Ige

Watch out for Christine and the Queens, who could be the first big French pop crossover artist in a minute. There’s a clean, playful insouciance suffusing her HAIM-esque sound that has kept me tracking her from her EP this spring to her forthcoming US debut album, and now, she’s dropped this new track with the excellent Philly rapper Tunji Ige, which streamed for the first time yesterday on Zane Lowe’s radio show and just premiered on Fader.

Called “No Harm Is Done,” it’s a coiled, crisp, uneasy, angular thing, produced by Christine with Noah Breakfast; each sonic element comes out of the darkness like a roving, elliptical spotlight, strings and voice and low synth pops against a “Do I Wanna Know” bassline and the hiss and snap of the drums.
