Meet The Voice's Siahna Im, Your New Favorite Wildly Talented 15-Year-Old

Entertainment

You might think after nine seasons of The Voice, which airs so frequently it becomes grueling, that you have seen every type of person singing throatily and passionately the US has to offer. But you’d be wrong! On last night’s Season 9 premiere, America got its first view of Siahna Im, a bananas talented 15-year-old from Auburn, Washington, whose abundance of charm is second only to her robust voice.

Her intro video showed what a great family she has—sensible mom! wacky dad!—and her confidence in just being herself. Then she took the stage and sang Peggy Lee’s “Fever” like a champ, leading Gwen Stefani, Pharrell, and Blake Shelton to flip their chairs and subsequently freak out at the amount of control she has over her voice relative to her age. Gwen made a great case for Im joining her team, but Pharrell, whom Im addressed formally as “Mr. Skateboard P,” won out after a hug. Then everyone at home cried.

GODDAMMIT! I CAN’T BELIEVE I’M GONNA HAVE TO WATCH THE WHOLE SEASON OF THE VOICE AGAIN!
