Sara Bareilles and the Waitress Musical She Scored Head to Broadway

Entertainment

Sara Bareilles and her Waitress musical are heading to Broadway. Prepare to be moved to tears by her emotional songs under the dizzying lights of the White Way.

The play, an adaptation of the 2007 film starring Felicity’s Keri Russell, will begin in April 2016 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, according to Billboard.

Waitress is currently playing at Harvard University’s American Repertory Theater and starring Jessie Muller. Muller won a Tony Award in 2014 for best leading actress in a musical for her role in Carole King’s Beautiful. It’s unclear whether Muller will join the Broadway cast but director Diane Paulus, who is helming the play currently, will join the next run.

This is wonderful news for people who like to listen to “Vegas” and cry by themselves. Just me? Oh. Cool.
