Your good great friend Iggy Azalea is back to rock your vote with “Team,” a song that includes the following: 1. Iggy claiming that she rides on a team of one (herself); 2. a reference to Hans Zimmer, which seems like a troll by whoever wrote this song; 3. Iggy saying the line “been Jah-jammin’” in a fake patois, then rhyming “dutty wine” with “land mine.” You’re so pumped, right?

The beat was produced by D.R.U.G.S., the excellent Los Angeles collective that includes founders Ty Dolla $ign and DJ Dahi, as well as five other producers. This one was made by Chordz, Nezzo, and Omega, but the Iggy-sung chorus is delivered in a cadence that sounds just like one Ty’s deployed on several of his own songs—“are you/fuckin/with the/team”—and for all intents and purposes the beat is fire, which is to say they did their best with what they had to work with. Here is the dance video, which features not Iggy but a cache of excellent and hopefully well-paid dancers executing tight choreography.

This song was written by Iggy Azalea, Bebe Rexha, Lauren Christy, Lil Wayne, Louis Harden, Terius Gray, Brandon Salaam-Bailey, Marlon Barrow, Alexander Palmer, Michael Fonseca, Byron Thomas and Ryan Anthony Avilez. That’s 12 people.

Iggy Azalea, who is still on Def Jam, is calling her new album Digital Distortion, which sounds like an album from an SST punk band from 1992, but seems to refer to something more tech, going by the cover for “Team.” Did they also digital distortion her face? OOH SLAM DUNK. No, but really, Iggy looks kinda different. Cute styling, though. Here she is on the cover of Schön Magazine, your fave.
