The Happytime Murders Trailer Is Dripping With All the Puppet Jizz You Never Asked For

If strung-out puppets are your thing, if plush sex workers with hands already up their asses rev your engine, if you like watching stuffed things suffer…well, I hope you’re familiar with Peter Jackson’s 1989 feature-length bad trip, Meet the Feebles. If not, get on it: It’ll make you feel like you have fingernail dirt behind your eyes. You’ll swear that it gave your brain MRSA. You’ll thank me for it.

The Happytime Murders looks like a slightly less contagious iteration of Feebles (with probably some Avenue Q thrown in there). It’s directed by Jim Henson’s son Brian Henson, who took over for his dad after his 1990 death and directed the likes of The Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island. He’s clearly out to jizz silly string all over his family legacy, which would be admirable if this seemed funny or novel…at all?
