After songwriter-turned-star Chris Stapleton performed a mesmerizing duet with Justin Timberlake at this year’s CMAs, record sales for his debut solo album Traveller jumped 6,000 percent week over week. It was a dead impressive performance, supported—as most all of Stapleton’s performances are—by carefully brilliant backup vocals from his wife Morgane.

Rolling Stone can’t have been the first to make the Johnny and June comparison, and they won’t be the last. The site unearthed this footage from an Atlanta show in May 2013, and on this one it’s Chris in the background and Morgane’s voice centered: they’re covering “You Are My Sunshine,” the covered-apparently-not-to-death classic that was first recorded in 1939.
