It is exceedingly clear that the only good Netflix reboot/revival/reconfiguration of a television series or franchise is Wet Hot American Summer. This trailer for Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later is all the proof you need.

Via Entertainment Weekly, the latest installment picks up at the counselors’ ten-year reunion. It’s 1991, baby, and everyone has some sort of grown-up job! Also the talking can of vegetables is back and Paul Rudd is wearing a wig that I find both frightening and arousing. Notably absent from this trailer is one Bradley Cooper, due to “scheduling conflicts,” but everyone else managed to make it back for the reunion, plus some fun new faces like Skyler Gisondo, Samm Levine, Mark Feuerstein, Marlo Thomas, Joey Bragg, Jai Courtney, Dax Shepard, Alyssa Milano, and Adam Scott.

Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later hits Netflix on August 4, just in time for you to barricade yourself in front of an air conditioner and watch the whole thing in one go.

DISCUSSION

When I first saw Wet Hot American Summer years ago, and raved about it to my friends, I felt like I was all alone in my love for this brand of humor and this cast. I’m so glad the love caught on, because these people seem to genuinely enjoy working with each other and crafting a comedic masterpiece. PAUL RUDD PICKING UP HIS DISHES AFTER JANINE YELLS AT HIM IS MY ALL TIME FAVE. ALL. TIME.
