Barbra Streisand Has Only Seen Some of Bradley Cooper's A Star Is Born and She Likes It

Entertainment

Barbra Streisand, star of the 1976 version of A Star Is Born, says she’s only seen the beginning of the new Bradley Cooper one, and guess what? That’s fine.

“Bradley did show me the opening,” she told the New York Times’s Maggie Haberman, per Vulture. “I loved how he used the drag bar. I thought that was new and interesting. What I’ve seen of the film I really liked.” She added, “I was surprised by how similar it was to my version.”

Indeed, the first part of the film is great. Act one, culminating with “Shallow,” is perfect, amazing, spectacular, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it. Everything else after it is honestly all downhill.

This may be the best way to consume a movie: watch only the best parts and never finish it.
