Like people in other professions, actors weren’t always actors. Many hoped to be discovered while working in the food industry. Some were once educators. Others were just typical office workers who decided it was their time to become a star. But a special few tried their hand at a different kind of celebrity before floating onto the silver screen: pop superstardom.
In 2005, at the age of 16, Brie Larson released the perfectly titled Finally Out of P.E. And though her attempt at joining the likes of Hilary Duff and Ashlee Simpson in that second wave of early 2000s teen girl pop wasn’t as successful as she’d hoped, Larson did manage to release four singles, including the catchy and uplifting Autobiography B-side, “She Said.”
In its accompanying video, Larson shows up late to work at the local fast food joint, gets revenge on mean girls by serving them burgers that fell on the floor, and cathartically plays the guitar on her break. You know, teen girl stuff.
She even mastered this iconic look of the day!
