Rihanna is releasing another shoe collection (in addition to Puma), this time a collaboration with Manolo Blahnik called Denim Desserts, which debuts in the April issue of British Vogue.
See Rihanna in the Vogue photo above, living her life in what she says are her favorite pair from the collection, the crotch-high 9 to 5 Boot.
“Those boots are dangerous! If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don’t wear them boots!” she tells the mag. “You will get kidnapped in those boots, those boots are trouble.”
Here they are on their own, de-Rihanna’d.
Could you do it? The other stiletto designs are a little more understated but still bear the delicate mark of a Manolo shoe.
All six styles start selling on May 5 at Manolo Blahnik stores in London, New York and Hong Kong, running from $895 to $3995. So... most of us won’t be buying them.
Can’t say these designs excited me much, but maybe denim lovers will be ecstatic. At the least, you might get a selfie with Rihanna if she spots you in a pair.
“The day I see a woman in the street wearing my shoes,” she says, “I am sorry for that woman because I’m going to literally run after her, shouting, ‘Stop! Selfie! Who are you? Where did you get them?’ I’m going to have a moment!” Imagine Rihanna stopping you on the street and asking, “Who are you?”
