TNT has ordered a pilot of a late-night talk show hosted by Niecy Nash, the star of the network’s crime drama/dark comedy Claws. According to Deadline, Naked with Niecy Nash will be “decidedly unique” and feature Nash dishing out advice on sex, love, and relationships. Sue Murphy, who executive produced Chelsea Handler’s shows on E! and on Netflix, has been announced as the showrunner.
Nash said (via Deadline), “I’m so excited to add my voice to the late-night landscape. Love is the thing we were created for but it’s also the place we struggle the most… until now! This is going to be a fun and sexy ride!”
It’s nice to see another woman get a chance at hosting late-night when the shows from Michelle Wolf and Robin Thede, two newcomers to the late-night space, have just been cancelled.
