If you, like Jezebel Senior Writer Rich Juzwiak, found Elsie Fisher’s Eighth Grade performance “downright miraculous,” you’ll be pleased to hear that she just booked her next role.

She’s been cast in animated movie The Addams Family, the latest adaptation of Charles Addams’s mid-century comic strip, Variety reports. The plot, per Variety “will follow the Addams family, whose lives begin to unravel when they face off against a crafty reality TV host while also preparing for their extended family to arrive for a major celebration.”

Fisher will be playing a character named Parker Needler, the daughter of Allison Janney’s Margaux Needler, who Variety describes as the titular family’s “nemesis.” I’m assuming that makes her the aforementioned “crafty reality TV host”?

Anyway, this thing’s probably gonna be huge considering who else is in it: Oscar Isaac as Gomez, Charlize Theron as Morticia, Bette Midler as Grandmama, Chloë Grace Moretz as Wednesday… MGM’s The Addams Family hits theaters October 11, 2019.
