Kathryn Hahn and Nicole Holofcener’s forthcoming series Mrs. Fletcher—based on the novel by Tom Perrotta—has been picked up by HBO, so you know I will be watching that shit.
IndieWire reports that Perrotta will come on as the writer and executive producer of the adaptation. In the half-hour comedy series, Hahn will play the lead role of Eve Fletcher, a divorcée and mother looking to reinvent herself (sexually) and spice up her life (sexually) after her son Brendan goes off to college.
The book is billed as a coming-of-age story for both Eve and Brendan, as the former navigates a world of online porn and real-life flirtations. All of this is extremely in Hahn’s repertoire, as no one does the funny and/or horny mom better or with more gusto than she does. Hats off to Hahn.
