Here Be Monsters! Lady Gaga Will Star on American Horror Story

Lady Gaga, who recently slayed at the Oscars, is already brushing the bits of skull and scalp off her architecturally impressive dress (because she blew our minds, you see) and moving onto her next venture, a starring role in the 5th season of American Horror Story.

Little is known about season 5—the title, theme and whether or not American Horror Story heavyweight Jessica Lange will return is still to be announced—but the Lady Gaga casting announcement from FX is already building hype.

As Vulture reports:

This may be the most logical casting ever: Lady Gaga has signed on to star in the fifth edition of American Horror Story, FX has announced. Production on the new chapter is expected to start in July, with the limited series premiering, as always, in October…Whatever the particulars, the casting is a massive coup for AHS and co-creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, and should provide a significant ratings boost to at least the first episode of chapter five.

Good luck, Gaga. And may your season be not nearly as boring as the last two.
