The first trailer for The Miseducation of Cameron Post has arrived! The film won the grand jury prize at the Sundance Film Festival and stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Sasha Lane, and Forrest Goodluck, all of whom play teens who are sent to a gay conversion therapy camp. It’s directed by Desiree Akhavan and based on a novel of the same name by Emily M. Danforth.

The film synopses explains that Cameron Post (played by Moretz) is “sent to a gay conversion therapy center after getting caught with another girl on prom night.” The center is “run by the strict and severe Dr. Lydia Marsh (Jennifer Ehle) and her brother, Reverend Rick (John Gallagher Jr.) ... In the face of intolerance and denial, Cameron meets a group of fellow sinners including Jane (Sasha), and her friend, Adam (Forrest). Together, this group of teenagers form an unlikely family as they fight to survive.” The film is set in the ’90s at a camp called “God’s Promise.”

The film opens in select cities on August 3, here’s the teaser:
