Jerry O'Connell Will Host the Horrifically Titled Talk Show Real Men Watch Bravo

Entertainment

After spending much of the past decade moonlighting as a professional guest talk show cohost (he’s filled in on Rachael Ray’s talk show, The View, The Talk, Live! with Kelly, and The Wendy Williams Show), Jerry O’Connell has finally landed a late-night talk show of his own. And while I’m happy that O’Connell’s hard work paid off, I absolutely hate the title, which is currently Real Men Watch Bravo.

Considering the fact that a “real man” (Andy Cohen) already hosts Watch What Happens Live and is one of the people most responsible for the network’s continued success, the term’s use here suggests they mean “straight men” which in turn suggests no one in the room said, “Hey, can we talk about gender for a quick sec,” when the name was given a thumbs up.

Per Deadline, the description of this soon-to-be canceled show (sorry Jerry, but it’s true) is as follows:

Real Men Watch Bravo will offer unprecedented access to the male point of view pertaining to all things Bravo and entertainment. Whether realizing they were a die-hard Vanderpump Rules fan after being introduced to the sizzling series by their girlfriends or learning how to cook the perfect filet from binging Top Chef episodes for hours, these men are unapologetic Bravoholics and hope to encourage others to step out of the shadows and admit what some have known all along…Real Men Watch Bravo.

The poor guy should have cohosted Live! with Kelly.
