Kelly Clarkson, America’s first American Idol, may be bringing her talents to the talk show space, according to a report from Broadcasting & Cable. Sources at NBC say Clarkson is at work on a talk show pilot that could be shopped around in 2019 and premiere that fall. NBC wouldn’t necessarily take it, although Clarkson has a talent deal with NBC Entertainment and thus, an obvious home for her talk show there; Broadcasting & Cable also reports that the pop star’s show could be syndicated or “it could air on another platform or in combination.” Netflix, baby! Maybe she should just ditch the show altogether and get a Netflix special. Is she funny? Could she tell jokes for an hour?
