Kendrick Lamar Brings To Pimp a Butterfly to Stephen Colbert's Late Show

Entertainment

Kendrick Lamar performed hits from his sophomore album, To Pimp A Butterfly, on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Wednesday night, wearing fresh cornrows and an all-black outfit with two modest necklaces.

Lamar performed a staccato, deconstructed medley of “Wesley’s Theory,” “Momma,” “King Kunta” and “U” backed by a full band and singers Anna Wise and a top hat-wearing Bilal, according to Rap Radar. Lamar first appeared on Colbert’s now-defunct Comedy Central show in 2014.

Like the opening words of “Wesley’s Theory,” Kendrick is a star.
