Kristen Wiig Is Your New Wonder Woman Villain 

Earlier this month, rumors emerged that Kristen Wiig, beloved Target lady, might be playing the new Wonder Woman villain, and now Patty Jenkins has finally confirmed that Wiig will play Cheetah, one of Wonder Woman’s more notorious (and furry) villains.

Cheetah first debuted in the early 1940s in different versions in the comics, but it’s been rumored that Jenkins’ Cheetah will take inspiration from the character known as Barbara Ann Minerva, an anthropologist who becomes a sort of cheetah-human-hybrid after accidentally stumbling into an ancient ritual. Power hungry, she covets Wonder Woman’s pretty gold lasso of truth. Who wouldn’t, amirite ladies?

Few details about the new Wonder Woman have been released, though it’s been reported that it will be set in the 1980s amid the Cold War and that Chris Pine will return. And since we all know the 1980s was a fantastic time for cheetah print fashion, Wiig’s character will probably feel right at home.
