Let's Get These Joan Didion Jackets for Our Feisty Girl Gang

Hey ladies, you know how we formed that ’50s greaser gang awhile back? Well, I think it’s time we got jackets. The good news is that I’ve found the perfect one. The bad news is that it costs $1,200 and the designer only made one of them.

Riding the recent (and, perhaps, eternal) wave of Joan Didion love, artist Alice Lancaster designed a beautiful, one-of-a-kind leather jacket with Didion’s face on it. Needless to say, it’s fucking rad and our gang has to have it.

So here are our options: We buy one and rotate who gets to wear it, we buy one and our gang leader gets to wear it (gang leader—pulls switch blade out of my hair—tbd) or we buy a bunch of Lancaster’s other jackets, all of which feature the faces of people she admires, such as David Bowie, Patti Smith and Frida Kahlo.
