The Bolton Battle Begins In This Week's Game of Thrones Trailer

While I’m still not sure how Jon Snow’s Wildling army ends up at Winterfell so quickly, and whether they’ve managed to gather reinforcements—all in due time. HBO has dropped the trailer for this week’s episode, “Battle of the Bastards” (referring to the “bastard” Jon Snow and the bastard Ramsay Bolton) and of course, it doesn’t exactly look like we’re in for an easy go of it.

“If I fall... don’t bring me back,” we can hear Jon telling Melisandre, with another shot of Ser Davos overlooking what appears to be a grave. If Jon Snow dies again, I swear I will break my television and begin an extremely annoying letter-writing campaign to Benioff and Weiss. Elsewhere, Sansa attempts to describe the inhumanity of the Boltons—You don’t know him—as flaming Xs burn on the battleground, ready to take on the flayed. KILL RAMSAY ALREADY. Ugh, I’m so stressed out. “Battle of the Bastards” airs Sunday, June 19, to be followed by the season finale, “The Winds of Winter”—also the name of George RR Martin’s supposedly forthcoming sixth novel in A Song of Fire and Ice.

I’m stressed about this, but not in an excited, good way. I’m just stressed because I’m pretty terrified that Ramsay will not lose and/or die. I am super terrified that Sansa will end up back in his sadistic clutches and I’ll be forced to kill the writers and show runners. I predict that Jon Snow does not die and Littlefinger’s troops show up to save the day.
