The It: Chapter Two Trailer Is Very Good

The first two minutes of the trailer for It: Chapter Two is a fine scary movie on its own, which bodes well for the second installment.

Grown-up Beverly Marsh (played by Jessica Chastain) visits her childhood home, where the elderly owner is kind enough to let her have a look around. The audience can see Ms. Kersh skittering menacingly in the background before Beverly can, and then we watch her slowly realize that the sweet geriatric lady with an oven full of warm cookies is actually a generations-old killer clown because ain’t that always the way.

“You know what they say about Derry?” Ms. Kersh says chipperly before stripping off her clothes and causing me to close my eyes and plug my ears in much the same way I watched the first installment. “No one who dies here ever really dies.”

That is facts, and I am looking forward to paying money to shut my eyes and not watch large chunks of this film on September 6th.
