The Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart Movie Looks Dumb and Funny, Will Probably Make Tons of Money

The new comedy starring the reigning movie comedy king Kevin Hart and the soon-to-be-crowned movie comedy queen Tiffany Haddish—and directed by Malcolm D. Lee (The Best Man, The Best Man Holiday*, Girls Trip)—finally has a trailer, and while the plot is nothing like I expected, I’m in.

If Hart’s power at the box office (his movies make SO MUCH MONEY) and Haddish’s rising popularity are any indication, it could be the summer’s biggest comedy despite having an astonishingly ridiculous plot that appears to go something like this:

Hart is a very successful BBQ salesman until the day he blows up his BBQ store while proposing to his wife at night inside said BBQ store. While hunting for a new job, his hotshot financial analyst friend tells him he’d be a great financial analyst for some reason, if only he had a high school degree. That’s where Tiffany Haddish comes in! She teaches night school, which he may or may not be too dumb to finish. Also Taran Killam plays a racist principal? The point is, Tiffany and Kevin will probably fall in love.

As I said before, I’m in. Night School comes out in September.

*It’s wild to me that the upcoming Best Man sequel is called The Best Man Wedding. THE FIRST ONE WAS A WEDDING. ALSO THE BEST MAN WEDDING IS REDUNDANT. I’LL WATCH IT ANYWAY.
