Rihanna summoned the spirit of 1996 Lil Kim at the iHeartRadio Awards on Sunday, debuting her new single "Bitch Better Have My Money." Naturally, Taraji P. Henson introduced the performance because Cookie is the muse for this shamelessly unruly record.
Watch Rihanna, looking like money, hop out a helicopter in green fur, shades and thigh-high boots, then stomp about the stage collecting checks. While her energy was more turned down than I expected, the performance gave me tons of shiny-suit-era-hip-hop vibes.
The response to this song has been predictably mixed, but I heard it in a bar on Saturday and went near ballistic.
