Despite not having read the source material, I’m so thoroughly the audience for this adaptation of Deborah Harkness’s A Discovery of Witches—about a scholarly witch and a scholarly vampire that fall in love in Oxford—that it’s rude.
I feel attacked!!! by this story that heavily features very attractive people breathing heavily at each other in very old, very beautiful libraries.
Deadline reports that the drama will air in the UK later this year, on Sky. It stars Theresa Palmer and Matthew Goode, whom you might recognize from mournfully sex-eyes-ing his way around The Crown as Anthony Armstrong-Jones.
Truly I live for dialogue like “Professor Clairmont... you’re a vampire” and cannot wait.
