Dreams are real. New Miguel music is nigh. I've spoken it into existence, you're welcome.
When Miguel dropped his fire EP last year, "Coffee" was on repeat for several hours in my apartment as I melted over and over. This upcoming third album is tentatively titled Wild Heart, and according to Mark Pitts, RCA's president of urban music, it's almost finished.
Pitts told Billboard:
"We're 90 percent done. Its working title is Wild Heart and we're talking second quarter. He's more confident, and it's going to show in the music, his look and in the videos. Miguel is ready to push the button. His first album was about trials and tribulations. The second was OK, we're here; I wasn't bugging. And now it's here we go. He wants people to understand who he is."
The next part of his quote is poppycock, though:
"He's tired of people asking who are you, what's that, do you like girls? He tells me, 'I want everyone to know I am wild, funny, edgy and love women. I need this album to connect.""
That is nonsense. I need to hear a better explanation of this straight from Miguel. Like tons of other celebrities, Miguel's been questioned about his sexuality but why feel so compelled to keep proving you love women. Trust us, we get it.
