Heathers Reboot Episodes Were Pulled Again After the Pittsburgh Shooting

Just cancel the entire series already.

The Heathers reboot, which was already pushed back for release after the Parkland shooting in March (and not, apparently, for the awful reviews it was getting), has now had episodes pulled because of the Pittsburgh shooting this past weekend.

When the series was pushed back previously after the Parkland shooting, Paramount Network cited the fact that the show dealt with “society’s most challenging subjects ranging from personal identity to race and socio-economic status to gun violence.” The show was then significantly recut, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and began airing over five nights starting on October 25. But while the episodes on Saturday aired as scheduled, the Sunday episodes were pulled after the shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh on Saturday, the Hollywood Reporter reports. The episodes reportedly included students undergoing an active shooter training.
